Theresa Dell Drum

Theresa Dell Drum, 63 a longtime Fort Sumner resident died Saturday, September 15, 2001 in Seminole, Texas. She was born December 6, 1937 in Snyder, Texas the special daughter of Ira Ardis Drum and the former Ruby Bell Bley. She moved with her family north of Fort Sumner in 1946 where they ranched for many years. The family made their home in Fort Sumner in 1990. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Ardis Drum on May 15, 1990; and Ruby Bell Drum on December 23, 1995. For the past few years Theresa has made her home with the Agatha Wall family of Seminole, Texas where she received affectionate and loving care. Theresa’s survivors include the Wall family of Seminole, Texas and a host of cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 18, 2001 from the Church of Christ in Fort Sumner with Mr. Skip Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Pow Carter, Emil Bigler, Johnny Firestone, G.A. Gunn, Ab Hendley, Ted Olney, Buddy Cortese, and B.J. Pierce. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Children’s Home of Portales. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
