Joseph Madril, age 36, passed away March 3, 2008 at his residence in Pojaque following an illness. Joseph was born October 13, 1971 in Clovis, NM to the home of Jose and Amelia Lopez Madril. He was reared and attended schools in Clovis. Joseph served four years in the United States Navy. He was a mechanic and loved working on cars. He enjoyed camping, fishing cooking and was always joking around. He was currently employed with the County of Los Alamos as Landfil Manager. He had been a resident of Pojaque for the past three years. Joseph is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; Valentine and Teresa Lopez, his paternal grandparents; Guadalupe and Dionesa Madril, uncles; Sam Madril, Apolonio Lopez and Emilio Lopez. Survivors include his parents; Jose and Amelia Madril, brother; Andrew Madril and his wife Bernadette, sister; Teresa Madril and Reidy Ingram, his girlfriend; Anna Apodaca, nieces and nephews; Angelina, Larissa, Raven, nephew; Omarion as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services were held on Thursday, March 6, at 7:00 from St. John the Baptist Church in Duran. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Friday, March 7, at 11:30 also from St. John the Baptist Church with Father Steve Sanchez officiating. Burial followed at St. John the Baptist Cemetery in Duran. Pallbearers were Tony Gonzalez, Chris Madril, Daniel Martinez, Jude Madril, Chris Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Adrian Marez and Matthew Mirabal. Honorary Pallbearers were Reidy Ingram, George Archibeque, Jr., Adam Chavez, Danny Lopez, Corey Aragon and Clario Marez, Jr. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home, 923 South 3rd St. Rosa, NM (575)472-3369.
