Adelina Chacon Garcia, 89, resident of Albuquerque passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2004 in Albuquerque. She was born in Santa Rosa, NM on July 6, 1914. She lived in Santa Rosa most of her life, but finally settled in Albuquerque with her second husband. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Garcia; daughter, Sally Chavez and Mel of Albuquerque; son, Randolfo Aragon and Minnie of Murrieta, CA; son, John Paul Aragon Jr. and Lucy of Las Vegas, NM; daughter, Maria Gonzalez and Gilbert of Denver, CO; daughter, Viola Rust and Kenn of Denver, CO; sister, Helen Sentman of Indiana; three stepsons, Gabriel Garcia and Stella, Danny Garcia and Arturo Garcia all of Albuquerque; she also had 38 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Pete Aragon; daughter, Veronica DeGroen; father, Camilo Chacon; mother, Tomasita Montoya; grandmother, Mogonita Sedillo and first husband, Juan Pablo Aragon Sr. Mrs. Garcia will be deeply missed by her loving family. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Friday, January 16, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, NM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 17, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa.
