Mattie McMullan

Mattie McMullan, age, 97, a long timeVaughn, NM resident passed away May 22, 2003 in Lancaster, California following an illness. Mattie was born March 3, 1906 in Searcy, Arkansas to the home of Lille Creason Saunders and Thomas Claude Saunders. Mattie married William McMullan Augus 9, 1923 in Herber Springs , Arkansas. They made their home in Vaughn in 1925. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband William Andrew McMullan. Survivors include her children Mary Saatzer of Lancaster, CA, Tana McMullan of Austin, TX, William McMullan, Jr of Las Cruces, NM, James McMullan of Las Cruces, NM, Larry McMullan of Reno, NV, Joe McMullan of Colorado Springs, CO, Thomas McMullan of Albuquerque and Rodney McMullan of Albuquerque, NM. Also surviving are 31 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Rosary services will be held on Tuesday evening May 27 at 7:00 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn. Mass of Christian burial will be celebreated on Wednesday morning at 11:00 also from St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn.
