Pat Elevario

Pat Elevario, 56 of Santa Rosa, NM died Sunday, December 5, 2004 in Las Vegas, NM following an illness. Pat was born April 5, 1948 in Tucumcari, NM the son of Delfido Elevario and the former Aurora P. Lopez. He was reared at New Kirk and Santa Rosa. He graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1968. Pat worked for 17 years as a Department of Transportation Inspector at the San Jon Port of Entry. He also worked as an escort driver. Pat was a lifelong catholic and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa; he was also a member of the Tucumcari Knights of Columbus. Pat enjoyed reading, being with his family and friends and he loved to travel. He was preceded in death by his father, Delfido Elevario in 1974; a sister Sylvia Gonzales in 1999; and a brother-in-law Tim Ulibarri in 2002. Survivors include his mother Aurora Elevario of Santa Rosa; three brothers Joe H. Elevario and wife Jennie of Tucumcari, NM; George Elevario and wife Virginia of Albuquerque; Albert Elevario and wife Vera; of Santa Rosa; four sisters Gloria Martinez and husband Patrick; Esther Blea; Viola Ulibarri, of Santa Rosa and Monica Urban and husband Gerald of Pampa, Texas. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church; Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated from the church at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Timothy Ulibarri, Ricky Blea, Manuel Martinez, Josh Urban, Sandra Elevario, Fabien Elevario, David Gonzales, and Jennifer DeBord. Honorary bearers will be all his nieces and nephews, Mario Elevario, Chris Elevario, Albert D. Elevario, Andre Martinez, Tara Martinez, Melissa Blea, Tommy Martinez Jr, Travis Ulibarri, Maxine Gonzales, Steven Gonzales, Anthony Gonzales, Rudy Chavez, Jose Lopez, Bobby Lopez, Johnny Marquez, Frank Lueras, Casey Jiminez, Tommy C de Baca, Alfredo Romero, and all his friends.
