Esequiel E. Baca, age 47, passed away unexpectedly on October 4, 2004 at his residence in Santa Rosa. Esequiel was born November 25, 1956 in Anton Chico. He was reared and attended schools in Anton Chico and Santa Rosa. Esequiel made his home in Santa Rosa in 1985. He enjoyed doing puzzles and playing cards. Esequiel is preceded in death by his mother Erlinda Baca in 1973, his great grandfather Cecelio Olguin in 1973, his grandmother Serjia Baca in 1976 and his great niece Gabriella Baca in 2001. Survivors include his step father Arsenio Sanchez, his brothers and sisters, Eddie Baca, Santana Baca and Uvaldo Baca, Melba Baca, Viola Baca and significant other Joe Montoya, Antonia Madrid and husband Donaciano, Ernestine Aranda and significant other Adam Anaya. Also surviving are 14 nephews, 5 nieces and numerous grand nieces, and nephews, many aunts, uncles and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening, October 7, at 7:00 from St. Joseph Church in Anton Chico. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 8, at 11:00 AM also from St. Joseph Church with Father Patrick Duffy officiating. Burial will follow at the Sangre de Cristo Cemetery in Upper Anton Chico. Serving as Pallbearers will be Matt Montoya, Nappy Baca, Santana Baca, Jr., Adam Sanchez, Alex Baca and Mario Baca. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Joseph Baca, Jonathon Encinias, Miguel Encinias, Roman Montoya, Vito Montoya, Patrick Aranda, Marcos Encinias, Christopher Baca and Patrick Villanueva. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
