Cindy Sena, 28 of Clovis, NM died Wednesday, September 5, 2001 at Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque following a sudden illness. Cindy was born December 9, 1972 in Fort Sumner. She attended Fort Sumner schools where she participated in volleyball. She was a 1991 graduate of Fort Sumner High School. Cindy attended Clovis Community College for two years. She made her home in Clovis where she was employed for the past 6 years as an activity supervisor for Barbara Ann’s Day Care Center. Cindy was a loving mother, daughter, and sister. She enjoyed crocheting and crossword puzzles. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Survivors include two children, Amanda Sena and Lester Paul Propps of Fort Sumner; her parents George and Martha Sena of Fort Sumner; one sister Sylvia Sena of Santa Fe; her maternal grandparents Gilbert and Rebecca Lovato of Los Angeles, CA; and her paternal grandparents Anastacio and Antonia Sena of Fort Sumner, NM. Also surviving are two nephews Matthew Sena of Fort Sumner and Daniel Sena of Santa Fe, along with her boyfriend Thomas Gum of Clovis, NM and numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday, September 7, 2001 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Church at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 8, 2001 with Father Stephen Schultz. Celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow at fort Sumner Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Zamora, Richard Gonzales, Thomas Gum, Randy Rodriguez, Enrique Lovato, Stash Sena, Carlos Sena, David Sena, Jerry Sena, Mario Sena, and Carlos Sena Jr. Visitation will be held Friday from 10AM to 5PM at Chavez Funeral Home, 804 North Fifth Street; Fort Sumner, New Mexico.
