Toribio Flores

Toribio "Beke" Flores, 69 of Puerto De Luna, NM died Monday, June 2, 2008 at the Guadalupe County Medical Center following a sudden illness. Toribio was born July 8, 1938 at Canada Colorada, NM the son of Toribio Lucio and Alicia (Salazar) Flores. He was raised in Puerto de Luna. Toribio worked construction and as a carpenter for many years, he enjoyed fishing and watching T.V. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law Freddy Moncayo. Survivors include his companion of 43 years Angelina Quintana of the family home in Puerto De Luna; sons Jose Flores and wife Yolanda of Puerto De Luna; Patrick Flores and wife Janey of Albuquerque; stepson Alfred Quintana and wife Anita of Aurora, Colorado; daughters Alice Zamora and husband Larry Paul of Albuquerque; Ramona Stoltz and husband Chris of Mountain Top, Pennsylvania; step-daughters Angie Moncayo of Puerto De Luna and Rebecca Marquez and husband Walter of Rio Rancho, NM; four sisters Martina Anaya and husband Horacio of Santa Rosa; Sara Chavez and husband Victor of Santa Rosa; Maggie Ivey and husband Brad of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Sylvia Alarid and husband Richard of Las Vegas, NM; four brothers Ramon Flores of Las Vegas, NM; Lorenzo Flores of Los Lunas; Pat Flores and wife Grace of Los Lunas, Juan Flores of Albuquerque, Cecilia and Dan Delgado of Cuba, NM, and Antonio Flores of Albuquerque. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. A rosary will be held at 7PM Wednesday, June 4, 2008 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel in Santa Rosa. A second Rosary will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2008 from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Catholic Church in Puerto De Luna, NM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the church at 11:00 am Friday, June 6, 2008. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto de Luna. Serving as Pallbearers are, Nathan Flores, Freddy Moncayo, Jr., Aaron Quintana, Lorissa Zamora, Denika Flores, Natalie Lopez, Carla Moncayo, Amber Quintana, Ethan Stoltz,Madison Stoltz, Rosalie Duke, Lynda Garcia. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be, Gerald Anaya, Horacio Anaya, Wiford Chavez, Eddy R. Chavez, Julian Salazar, Gilbert Gerhardt, Jim Sena, Gene Sena and all his many friends.
