Raymond Sena

Raymond Sena, 39 of Fort Sumner, NM died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at his home. Raymond was born January 21, 1968 in Fort Sumner the son of Eugene Joe and Lorena (Lucero) Sena. Raymond was a lifelong resident of Fort Sumner, he attended Fort Sumner schools and graduated with the class of 1986. Raymond worked for several years as a heavy equipment operator for K. Barnett Construction and Sam Sanders Gravel. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Raymond enjoyed working on his ’68 Chevelle, fishing, hunting and spending time with his nieces, nephews. Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Valerie Sena on December 5, 2006; his father Eugene Joe Sena in 1984; maternal grandparents Pilar and Maggie Lucero; paternal grandparents Reymundo and Inez Sena; uncles Pilar Lucero Jr and David Lopez; and cousins Alex Lucero, Ricky Sena, Barbara Maynor and his best friend and cousin George Sena Jr. Survivors include a daughter Jennifer Sena of Carlsbad, NM; his mother Lorena Lovato of Fort Sumner; one sister Margie Martinez and husband Sandy of Fort Sumner; three brothers Albert Sena and wife Geraldine, Gene Sena and wife Fran of Fort Sumner and Alex Sena and wife Gina of Albuquerque. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, other relatives and many friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2007 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday, December 10, 2007 from St. Anthony’s with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Sena, Francis Martinez, Timmy Sena, Eugene Sena Jr., Aurelio Lopez, Ernest Sena, Thomas Sena and Danny Barela. Honorary bearers will be all his nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday from 1PM to 6Pm at the funeral home.
