Raymond Paul Duran

Paul Raymond Duran, age 45, passed away suddenly on August 3, 2008 at his residence in Vaughn. Raymond, as he was affectionately known was born June 30, 1963 in Vaughn, NM to the home of Paul and Selena “Sally” Arguello Duran. He was reared and attended schools in Vaughn. Raymond loved to joke around and was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed his music and loved playing the keyboard. He was a loving and caring person to all. He is preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his daughter, Nicole Rael of Vaughn sister Lucarol Apodaca and husband Sammy of Vaughn, his nephews; Samuel Joseph Apodaca and Alonzo Reynaldo Apodaca both of Vaughn as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, August 7, at 6:00 PM from St. Mary’s Church in Vaughn. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 8, at 11:00 AM also from St. Mary’s Church with Father Steve Sanchez officiating. Burial will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Serving as Pallbearers will be Daniel Arguello, Albert Sanchez, Jesse Arguello, Carlos Arguello, Samuel Apodaca and Martin Arguello.
