Cloresa Kay Chavez

Cloresa Kay Chavez, 54 of Tucumcari, NM died Sunday, June 1, 2008 at her home following a sudden illness. Cloresa was born January 13, 1954 in Springer, NM to the home of Jose Faustin and Clorinda (Cruz) Garcia. She was raised at Maxwell, NM where she graduated from high school. Kay attended Luna Community College where she received a degree in Culinary Arts. She was of the Roman Catholic faith. Cloresa made her home in Santa Rosa, Fort Sumner and for the past 10 years in Tucumcari, NM. She was preceded in death by her father Jose Faustin Garcia in 2002. Survivors include her husband Isidoro Chavez of Fort Sumner; son Richard Michael Garcia of Tucumcari; daughter Linzy Garcia of Raton; mother Clo Garcia; 2 brothers, 2 sisters, 7 nieces & nephews and many friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner. Burial of cremains will be held at a later date in Maxwell, NM.
