Gregoria Martinez

Gregoria Martinez, age 79, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2002 at the Los Amigos Care Center in Santa Rosa, NM. Gregorita was born November 25, 1922 to the home of Vicente and Andreita Baca Garduno. She enjoyed sewing and needle point. Gregorita is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Antonio Martinez, brothers and sisters Graciano Garduno, Crestino Garduno, Crestino Garduno, Jr., Vanesia Garduno, Irene Castillo and Julia Garduno. Survivors include her nieces and nephews Bernardita Stafford and husband James of Arizona, Joe Gene Castillo of California, Sylvia Madril and husband Modesto of Albuquerque, Bella Torres and husband Lawrence of Tularosa, Seferina Sisneros and husband Silver of Santa Rosa, Helen and Frank of Albuquerque, Manuel Castillo of Santa Rosa, Vincent Castillo and wfie Christina of California, Angie Jaramillo of Albuquerque and Imo Gene Chavez and husband Joe of Albuquerque. Also surviving are numerous great nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services were conducted on Thursday Evening at 7:00 from the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday morning at 10:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father John Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Garduno Family Plot at the Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn, NM. Serving as pallbearers are Frank Sisneros, Andrew Madrid, Silvano Sisneros, Jr., Jesus Torres, Manuel Mata and Peter Mata. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers are Joseph Torres, Johnny Madril, Gabriel Jaramillo, Vincent Castillo, Jr., Jimmy Castillo and Joe Castillo, Jr. All services were entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa. www.chavezfuneralhome.com
