Telesfora Sena

Telesfora Sena, age 82, a longtime Corona, NM resident passed away December 11, 2002 at the Casa De Sol Senior Care Center in Las Cruces. Telesfor was born February 23, 1920 in Torrance County to the home of Patrocino and Tomasita Chavez Sanchez. She married Erminio Sena April 28, 1943 in Pino Wells, NM. She was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Corona and a member of the Sacred Heart Society in Pinos Wells, she also sang in the church choir and she loved singing. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erminio, her brothers Ruperto Sanchez, Antonio Sanchez, Marcos Sanchez and her sister Candelaria Perea. Survivors include her daughter Zenaida Alirez and husband Leo of Las Cruces, 2 granddaughters Sylvia Villalobos and husband Arnold, Leona Licon and husband Marcos all of Las Cruces, great grandchildren, Jacob Villalobos, Samantha Villalobos, Rae Marie Licon and Matthew Licon her sister Paublita Chavez of Carizozo and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services were conducted on Sunday afternoon at 3:00 from St. Theresa Church in Corona. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday also from St.Therese Church with Father Dave Berg offificating. Burial followed at the Corona Cemetery. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home, 923 South 3rd St, Santa Rosa, NM 505 472-3369.
