Celia M. Flores

Celia Guadalupe Maldonado Flores, age 95, passed away October 22, 2002 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Celia was born November 30, 1906 in Pintada, NM to the home of Melito and Brijida Zamora Maldonado. She was reared in Pastura and Pintada. She married Alfredo Flores in Pintada, NM. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Celia is preceded in death by her husband Alfredo Flores, Sr., and her son Alfredo Flores, Jr. Survivors include her sons Joe Flores of Santa Rosa, Gilbert Flores of Albuquerque and Nap Flores and wife Lynn of South Carolina, her daughter Geneva Flores of Santa Rosa and a granddaughter that she raised Nicole Flores Bario and husband Hugo of El Paso, TX. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday evening at 7:00 from St. Rose Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday morning at 10:00 also from St. Rose Church with Father Stephen Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Servng as Pallbearers will be Eloy Maldonado, Erminio Maldonado, Amando Campos, Amado Campos, Michael Lucero, and Johnny Flores. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
