Monico Sena, 74 a lifelong Fort Sumner, NM resident died Saturday, October 12, 2002 at Fort Sumner. Mr. Sena was born December 10, 1927 in Fort Sumner, New Mexico to the home of Cecilio and Susana Lopez Sena. He was reared at Fort Sumner. Mr. Sena never allowed his disabilities to interfere with his will to work. He did odd jobs such as yard work and cutting weeds and always took great pride in each task he completed. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Manuel Sena and a nephew Billy Sena. Survivors include three brothers Aban Sena of Fort Sumner, Begnino and Bernaved Sena of Anton Chico, NM; one sister Estella Sena of Las Vegas, NM along with several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Communion Services will take place at 9:30 AM Wednesday, October 15, 2002 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner with Sister Teresita Garcia officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Manuel Lucero, Carlos Lopez, Lorenzo Segura, Leonard Sena, Marcial Valdez , Ismael Sena, and Bobby Aragon. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner.
