Joseph Calbert

Joseph Senon Manuel Calbert, age 41, passed away on April 24, 2007 at the Dan Trigg Memorial Hospital in Tucumcari following an illness. Joseph was born April 13, 1966 in Tucumcari to the home of Johnny and Rose Martinez Calbert. He was reared and attended schools in Tucumcari. Joseph was a self employed mechanic and loved working and repairing old cars. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, horseback riding and the outdoors. He was a member of St. Annne's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Joseph is survived by his parents, his lifelong partner Regina Elebario, daughter; Katherine Page and Ricky Benavidez and Tara Woodrum, grandchildren; Esperanza and Nathan Benavidez and Nathaniel Elebario, stepchildren; Rachel, Monie and Daniel Elebario, brothers; Jesse Calbert, Virgil Calbert, Jacob Calbert, sisters; Laura Calbert, Angelina and husband Greg Pena. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts uncles, cousins and friends. Rosary services were held on Thursday, April 26, 2007 at 8:30 PM from St. Anne's Catholic Church in Tucumcari. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Friday, April 27, at 2:00 PM also from St. Anne's Church with Father Leo Padget officiating. Burial followed at Tucumcari Memorial Park. Pallbearers were James Garcia, JJ Calbert, Matthew Calbert, Daniel Elebario, James Martinez, Dennis Calbert, Manuel Calbert and Ricky Benavidez. Honorary pallbearers were Manuel Trujillo, Daniel Lopez, Johnny Molinas, Jr., Lawrence Martinez, Jerry Martinez, Julian Calbert, Fabian Muniz, Herman Elebario, Greg Pena, Jose Vasquez and Ernie Arguello.
