Victor Montoya

Victor Montoya, age 59, passed away October 20, 2004 at the Alta Vista Regional Hospital in Las Vegas due to an illness. Victor was born September 20, 1945 in Naravisa, NM to the home of Elias and Esther Quintana Montoya. He was a long time resident of Albuquerque where he worked for Sears Department store where he eventually retired. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Benjamin Montoya. Survivors inlcude his sister Julia Gutierrez of Santa Rosa and his brother Herman Montoya also of Santa Rosa, his daughters Diane Montoya and Rachel Montoya both of Albuquerque, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 7:00 PM from Chavez Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, October 22, at 10:00 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Nick Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Gilbert Gutierrez, Jr., Herman Montoya, Ronald Gutierrez and Nathan Gutierrez. All services are entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
