Otilia Lopez Zamora, 90, of Fort Sumner, NM died Monday, November 22, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Zamora was born January 23, 1914 at Los Ojitos, to the home of Gregorio Lopez and the former Demetria Ronquillo. She was reared and attended school at Los Ojitos. Otilia married Herminio (Fermin) Zamora on July 7, 1936 in Puerto De Luna, NM. They made their home at Cardenas, and Yeso, NM where Mr. Zamora worked for the Santa Fe Railroad. They later made their home in Fort Sumner in 1964. Otilia was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She enjoyed dancing, listening to music, and visiting with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in Fort Sumner. Otilia was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fermin Zamora on April 20, 1986; two brothers, Regino Lopez and Elauterio Lopez, and one sister Martina Casaus. Survivors include a daughter Lisa Casaus and husband Catarino of Fort Sumner; two sons Pablo Zamora and wife Esther of Fort Sumner and Regino Zamora and wife Betty of Lubbock, TX; three brothers Alberto Lopez of Fort Sumner; Ezequiel Lopez, and Gregorio Lopez of Albuquerque; three sisters Vita Chavez, Mela Garcia, and Mary Baca all of Albuquerque along with 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 25, 2004 from St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from the Church at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2004 with Father Sotero A. Sena, celebrant of the Mass. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Zamora, Carl Zamora, Larry Paul Zamora, Randy Zamora, Jesse Casaus, Ricky Casaus, Paul Lucero, Bobby Williamson, Brenton Williamson, and Joey Torres.
