Mariah Josephine Sanchez

Mariah Josephine Sanchez, age 7, passed away December 6, 2002 in Albuquerque. Mariah was born February 27, 1995 in Albuquerque, NM to the home of Michael and Kimberly Sanchez. She was in second grade at Santa Rosa Elementery School. Mariah Loved listening to music, doing arts and crafts, cooking and the Power Puff Girls. She planted her own garden this year and produced a lot of calabazitas and chili, she even peeled her own green chili. Mariah was a special little girl and was loved by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother Maria Josephine Sanchez, her cousin Troy Pino and her uncle Al Nelson. Survivors include her parents Michael and Kimberly of the family home in Santa Rosa, her sisters whom she adored Kristi and Laura and her brother Dylan all also from the family home. Also surviving is her Paternal grandfather Anselmo Sanchez of Santa Rosa, her maternal grandparents Phil and Vera Sanchez of Santa Rosa, her great grandmother Grace Sisneros of Santa Rosa, her uncles and aunts Phyllis Gonzales and husband Manuel of Amarillo, TX, Billy Sanchez of Las Vegas, NV, Phil Sanchez III of Santa Rosa, Grace Romero and husband Louie of Santa Rosa, Anthony Sanchez and wife Lucy of Santa Rosa, Mamie Sandoval and husband Art of Sacrmento, CA, Mary Ann Weide and husband Dennis of Littleton, CO, Gerald Sanchez of Hobbs, NM, Geraldine Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM, Evelyn Griego and husband George of Santa Rosa, Rudy Sanchez of Santa Rosa, Bernadette Foster and husband Malcolm of Brunswick, Maine, Lorraine Kavanaugh and husband Nick of Las Vegas, NM, her special friends Martin Baca, Orlando Garcia and Benny Sanchez. Rosary services will be held on Monday night at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church in Santa Rosa. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday morning at 10:00 also from St. Rose Church with Father Stephen Schultz officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbears will be Dustin Hall, Orlando Garcia, George Griego and Benny Sanchez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be The Santa Rosa Elementery School staff and students.
