Lennie Mae Woollums, age 84, passed away October 22, 2004 in Lubbock, Texas following an illness. Lennie was born August 16, 1920 in House, New Mexico to the home of Robert L. and Maggie Rosetta Baker. She attended schools in Taiban, NM graduating High School in 1940. She married Jewell A. Woollums on August 31, 1941 in Clovis, New Mexico. They made their home in Fort Sumner in 1955. Lennie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband husband Jewell, her daughter Sandra K. Jones, her brother James William Baker and her sister Lois Fay Baker. Survivors include her daughter Barbara Jean Landrum of Fort Sumner, her grandchildren Kellie Evetts Bruce of Lubbock, TX, John Richard Bruce and Dena of Marshall, TX, Gary Wayne Bruce and Shelly of Melrose, NM, her great-grandchildren Garrett, Reid, Travis and Derek Bruce and Vincent Sena. Also surviving is a son-in-law Champ Landrum her brother Robert Baker, her sister Bille Jean Hamer of Slaton, TX and Betty Lee Wilton of Fort Sumner, sister in law Fern Duey of Fort Sumner, along with numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 25, 2004 at 10:00 AM from the First Baptist Church in Fort Sumner with Rev. Jim Peabody officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Benjie Jay, John Jay, Cody Jay, Tom Wilton, Dennis Hamer, Ronnie Baker, Mike Wilton, Reid Bruce, Garrett Bruce and Travis Bruce.
