Alfredo P Romero

Alfredo P. Romero, Age 75, affectionately known as Vinegar, passed away peacefully at the home of his niece and caretaker Gloria. Alfredo was born on April 18, 1942 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Miguel and Camilla (Lucero) Romero. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Alfredo worked as a cook at various restaurants in Santa Rosa. He was also a maintenance man for the KOA and Santa Rosa Apartments. He was also a jack of all trades. He enjoyed playing pool at the Campos Senior Center and working on his yard and garden. Alfredo is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers and sisters. Survivors include his brother Jose Romero of Avondale, AZ, his caretakers Gloria Billy and Dennis Baca of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and a rosary will be recited on Saturday, December 9, at 10:30 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Memorial Mass will be celebrated immediately after the rosary with Father Antonio Mondragon officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Miguel Martinez and Victor Anaya. All services for Alfredo have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
