Carolyn Lee Baca passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. She is welcomed into the heavens by Jesus Christ, her mother Clorie Nelson Baca, brothers Joe Albert "JG" and Martin "Pache" Baca as well as her grandparents Albert and Isabel Nelson, and Frank and Leandra Baca and her beloved godmother Aunt Julia "Granny" Tenorio. Carolyn was born on October 8, 1971 in Santa Rosa, NM. Whether she was serving our community as the finest 911 communication specialist for many years or assisting the local farmers at the USDA or taking orders for a table of twenty people without writing the order on paper, she served with the highest level of respect and dignity to others. She took pride in being a member of the SRHS class of 1990 (AA state basketball champs). Her love for animals especially her own dogs Peaches, Minka and Shelby Girl was her passion. She is survived by her love Jose Ayala, her D-A-D Frank Baca Jr, her sissys Frances "Kika" Baca (Trinidad), Netta Montgomery (Steve), and Anna Baca, her brothers Leo Moya (Maria), Jimmy, David, Alex (Kathleen), and Leroy (Deborah), and her favorite Aunt Emily Nelson Chavez. Rosary services will be Sunday, October 1st at 4pm at St Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, October 2nd at 10am at St. Rose of Lima Church followed by burial at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Jose Ayala, Benny Sanchez, Chris Griego, Chris Tenorio, Drew Quintana, Darrel Pullin, Wayne Martinez, and Chief Mike Gauna. Honorary pallbearers SRHS Class of 1990, Eufemia Gomez (Jose's sister), and all of her many friends. All services for Carolyn have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
