Emma Fiedler

Emma E. Fiedler, 89, passed away peacefully on May 19, at her residence in Pastura. Emma was born on November 27, 1927 in Pastura, NM to the home of Placido and Pauline (Sanchez) Tapia. Emma married Walter Fielder on January 4, 1947 in Chicago, IL and soon moved to Miami, Florida where they owned and operated Streamline Service Station since 1951. She and Walter were married for 62 years. Shortly after Walters’s death she came back to her home town of Pastura. Emma was always happy, she loved her dog Jodi and she loved being around her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter and her brother Placido Tapia, Jr. Survivors include her brother and sisters, Carmen Steele of Richland, WA, Viola Schmidt of Vaughn, Steve Tapia and wife Odelia of Pastura, Vivian Hindi and husband Nabay of Duran, NM, Mary Ellen McKinney and husband Gene of Oregon and Pearl Marr of Washington, her special friends Pilar Ornelas and Juanita Castillo. She was also a very special Aunt to Diane, Lillian and Susan. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 22, from Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel with Father Sotero A. Sena Officiating and Deacon Marvin Marquez assisting. Emma will be laid to rest in Miami, Florida next to her husband.
