Leo Christian Koontz was born April 27, 2017 to parents Lisa Koontz and Clay Koontz of Albuquerque. Leo's time with us, while short, provided many smiles and joy to everyone. The family and friends of Leo lovingly anticipated his arrival and looked forward to sharing our lives with him. Leo touched so many lives and was such a source of inspiration during his short stay with us. His brief gift of life was treasured tremendously by his parents, grandparents, and deeply caring hospital staff. Leo was greeted in heaven by many dear family members who are enjoying our precious boy's company until we meet him again. The family would like to thank the many caregivers, family and friends who tirelessly prayed for us as well as for Leo's recovery. Services will be held at 11am Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Church 9100 Menaul Blvd., Albuquerque, New Mexico with Pastor Chuck Exley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10am. Burial will take place at 2pm at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
