Flora Romero

Rosary services for Flora Romero, 99, will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 6:00 pm at St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14, at 10:00 AM with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Ray Griego, Richard Griego, Jason Griego, Leo Muniz, Jr., Leroy Quintana and Edward Romero. Flora passed away on February 9, 2017 at her residence in Santa Rosa following an illness. She was born on July 28, 1917 in San Ignacio, NM to the home of Egripino and Eulalia (Sena) Segura. Flora worked as a waitress at local restaurants and worked for many years doing laundry at the Holiday Inn. She was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish where she was actively involved with Las Hijas de Maria and was also a member of the Campos Senior Citizens. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, doing ceramics and listening to music on the radio. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sons, Benny and Agripino Romero, her son in law, Arturo Griego, her brothers and sisters, Frank Segura, Benny Segura, SIlvano Segura, Eloy Segura, Lucy Fajardo and Amelia Chavez. Survivors include her children, Terry Griego of Santa Rosa, Nick Romero and wife Faby of Bernalillo, NM, Joseph Romero and Ceclia Quintana of Santa Rosa along with 13 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and a host or relatives and friends.
