Mary Louise Baines, 67 of Clovis, NM passed away at her home Sunday, December 11, 2016 following an illness. She was born November 17, 1949 in Laramie, Wyoming. She grew up and attended school in Minnesota. She attended college at Eastern New Mexico University in Portales and received her nursing degree from Clovis Community College in 1986. Mary worked as a Registered Nurse for Golden Age Nursing Home, and for several years served as Administrator for the Pecos Valley Care Center in Fort Sumner and Clovis Health Care in Clovis until 2005. She loved to read and collected many novels over her lifetime. She enjoyed her bible study with her dear friend and neighbor Libby and catching up with her friends. She was also a member of a book club, and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Mary is preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include a son Jonel Goodman and his step-son Cruz Jiminez both of Clovis. Also surviving is Jonel's father, Jonel Goodman Sr. of Los Angeles, CA along with many friends and former co-workers. A memorial services will be held at 2pm Monday, December 19, 2016 from The Church on The Hill in Fort Sumner, NM with Pastor Anna Teeter-Gentile officiating. The family requests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association in memory of Mary L. Baines.
