Rosary services for Mrs. Linora S. Silva, 98, will be held on Monday, October 31, at 10:00 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery in Puerto De Luna. Serving as Pallbearers will be Richard Martinez, Jr., Ramon Loya, Steven Edward Silva, Vicente Silva, Albert Rodriguez, Robert Silva and Mario Lucero. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Lorenzo Lucero, Michael Fason, Xavier Fason, Jerry Rodriquez, James Rodriguez, Johnny Silva, Joey Silva, Andres Silva, Robert Marquez, Jr. Ricky Lucero and Max Lucero, Jr. Linora passed away peacefully on October 28, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on January 30, 1918 in Trementina, NM to the home of Fermin and Petrita (Sanchez) Salazar. She was reared in Trementina and Puerto De Luna. Linora married Anastacio Silva on November 9, 1939 in Fort Sumner, NM. She was a parishioner at St. Rose of Lima Parish and a member of Las Hijas de Maria. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, doing crafts and word puzzles. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed, She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Anastacio Silva on July 14, 2016, and two sons, Christian Silva and Joe Silva. Survivors include her children, Ernestine Silva of Santa Rosa, Helen Silva Romero of Los Lunas, Vincent Silva and wife Mary of Santa Rosa, Dolores Lucero and husband Max of Santa Rosa, Steven Silva and wife Clarita of Santa Rosa and Frances Marquez and husband Robert of Rio Chama, NM, granddaughter Yvette Silva, Also surviving is her brother Santiago Salazar of Bernalillo and her sister Maria Salazar of Roswell along with 25 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren and numerous great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
