Antonio L. Serna

Antonio L. Serna, 80 of Fort Sumner passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Plains Regional Medical Center following an illness. Antonio was born April 13, 1936 in Fort Sumner to the home of Marcos and Louisa (Lopez) Serna. He worked as a welder and carpenter and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. He enjoyed listening to spanish music. Antonio is survived by his wife Maria Serna of the home in Fort Sumner, a son Marcos Serna and wife Rita of Edgewood, three daughters Maria Magdalena Lujan of Albuquerque, Louisa Serna Bernard and husband Richard of Albuquerque, and Maria Jacks and husband Tommy of Fort Sumner along with eight grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. Services are pending. All arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N. Fifth Street, Fort Sumner, NM. (575) 355-2311.
