Services for Donald Eugene Servis, 76 of Roswell, NM will be held at 2pm Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at The Church on The Hill in Fort Sumner, NM with Anna Teeter-Gentile officiating. Burial will take place at Fort Sumner Cemetery. Donald was born September 7, 1939 in Raton, NM to the home of Ual Riley Servis and Helen Lee Rose Servis. He graduated from Forrest High School in 1957 and went on to earn a Business Degree from Eastern New Mexico University in 1961. Don married Judy Green on December 27, 1967 in Santa Fe, NM. He worked for many years as a real estate appraiser. He retired as Chief Appraiser with the Chaves County Assessors office in 1999. Don was past Exalted Ruler of the Santa Fe Elks Club. He was an active part of the volunteer community in southeastern New Mexico. Don is preceded in death by his parents Ual and Helen Servis, his brother Mark Servis, and a son Jack Servis. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Green) Servis, two daughters Julie Shaw and her husband Ty of Clovis, Liz Bradley and her husband Jeff of Fort Worth, TX; two grand daughters Niki Black and husband Monty, Erin Switzer and husband Lance; six great-grandchildren Jett, Jaide, Kole, and Kenli Black, Kylen and Kason Switzer, along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
