Virginia Romo, 81, of Santa Rosa NM, has gone to Heaven. She passed away October 6, 2015 at Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis NM. She was born on July 1, 1934 in Anton Chico, NM to the home of Bruno and Silverina (Olguin) Romo. Virginia purchased her home in Santa Rosa where she dedicated her life to raising her children. She worked as a child care provider, house keeper, and as young lady worked the seasonal harvesting throughout NM and TX. She enjoyed being around her many grandkids, great grand children, cooking, listening to NM Spanish music on the radio and watching novelas on TV. She also loved her pet dogs, and just received and named her new puppy Bruno just hours before her passing. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents Bruno and Silverina Romo, brother Ramon Romo, three sisters Dulcinea (Romo) Aragon, Juanita Romo, and Victoria Romo, oldest son Ramon Romo, and youngest son Rick Romo, as well as numerous nephews. Survivors include four sons Margarito Romo of Albuquerque, Bruno Romo of Edgewood, Sam Romo and wife Lydia of Albuquerque, Gerald Romo and wife Sylvia of Albuquerque. Two daughters Jeannie Madril and husband Joaquin of Clovis, Christina Romo of Clovis. Grandkids, Christopher Romo, Keith Romo, Donovan Romo, Jewel Escobar, Delaney Romo, Gerald Romo Jr., Troy Romo, Andrea Montano, Anthony Romo and Andres Romo. Great grandkids, Aiyana Romo, Delilah Romo, Alvaro Escobar, Pablo Madril, Randy Madril, Gabriel Madril, Aubrey Montano, Derron Montano and soon to be Isabella Virginia Romo and numerous nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 7pm Friday, October 9, 2015 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa, Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 10am also from St. Rose of Lima Church with Father Sotero A. Sena officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be her Grandsons Anthony Romo, Andres Romo, Christopher Romo, Donovan Romo, Gerald Romo Jr., Grandson-in-law Mark Montano, great grandsons Pablo Madril, and a nephew Xavier Rodarte. Honorary pallbearers include Randy Madril, Gabriel Madril, Derron Montano, Troy Romo, Keith Romo. All services are under the direction of The Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
