Becky Lynn Finney

Becky Lynn Finney, 59 of Littlefield, TX left us to dance with the angels on August 7, 2015. She was born June 5, 1956 in Clovis, NM to the home of Wayne Petty and Vella Dodd. Becky attended school in Clovis and graduated from Clovis High School in 1975. She earned a degree in bookkeeping and worked for Lee Groff Chevrolet. She enjoyed social outings, going to coffee with her friends, reading romance novels, working on puzzles, playing cards and board games, watching movies, sitting on her porch bird watching, and catching up with family and friends on the phone. Most of all she treasured her time spent with her four grandchildren, they were her pride and joy. Becky is preceded in death by her grandparents, Henry and Vera Hartsfield, Angus and Argil Petty, her mother Vella Dodd and her father Wayne Petty, and an uncle Tommy Hartsfield. A loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, she will be missed by her step-father Leon Dodd of Artesia, NM, two sisters Darla Dodd of Albuquerque, Tammy Williams of Artesia, a brother Scott Dodd and wife Sandra of Albuquerque, her children, son Denzel Finney of Muleshoe, TX and daughter Amanda Thomson and husband Michael of Clovis, the father of her children Leroy Finney of Muleshoe, TX, four grandchildren Bret McGee, Ryan McGee, Cassie Durr and EJ Durr all of Clovis, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends. Visitation hours will be held Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 1pm to 6pm at the Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner, NM. Funeral services will be held at 10am Friday, August 14, 2015 from The Church on The Hill in Fort Sumner, NM with Pastor Anna Teeter-Gentile officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerrica Washburn, Kayla Thomson, Jim Radford, Josh McIntosh, Scott E. Dodd, Bret McGee, and Ryan McGee. Honorary bearers will be all her family and friends.
