Carole Newton

Carole Jane Newton, age 82, passed away on November 23, 2014 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Carole was born on February 17, 1932 in Coshocton, Ohio. She was reared and attended schools on Ohio and also attended Kent State University. She was married to Kenneth Newton for 33 years. Carole operated a Campground in Groom, Texas for over 15 years, she worked for IBM and when she was younger she worked for her grandfather at his coal mine. She loved sports, golfing and swimming. She was a gifted athlete in her younger years. Carole and her family made their home in Santa Rosa in 2011. She is preceded in death by her mother Helen and her son Robert Newton. Survivors include her ex-husband Kenneth Newton of Vancouver, WA, her daughter Jacqueline Newton on Santa Rosa, her grandsons, Robert Newton of Groom, TX, Joseph Gutierrez of Santa Rosa, Bryan Newton of Santa Rosa and her great grandson Joseph Jr., of Santa Rosa. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held n Tuesday, December 2, at 6:00 PM from The Church of Christ in Santa Rosa with Mr. Keith Ross Officiating.
