Rosary services for Marcellina "Lena" Baca 84 of Hartman, Colorado will be held at 9:30 am Wednesday, April 9, 2014 followed by the funeral Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Francis De Sales/Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 600 E. Paramenter Street, Lamar, Colorado. A rosary will be recited at 7pm Thursday, April 10, 2014 in the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel, Santa Rosa, NM. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1pm Friday, April 11, 2014 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kayammakal officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Mark Gallegos, Frankie Chavez, Stanley Chavez, Mario Lucero, Richard Saiz, Eddie Chavez, Tony Maestas, and David Lucero.Marcelena "Lena" Baca was born February 17, 1930 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Isidoro and Sarita (Lerma) Chavez. She attended Santa Rosa schools. Lena was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Lena made her home in Hartman, Colorado in the 1970's.She is preceded in death by her parents Isidoro and Sarita Chavez, a sister Siria Lucero, and two brothers Archie and Willie Chavez.Survivors include her husband Ramon Baca of Hartman, Colorado, a daughter Mary Alice Lucero of Lamar, Colorado, five Sons Granfe Baca of Hartman, CO, Manuel (Magdalena) Lucero, Randy Lucero, Richard "Rex" Lucero, Isaac Chavez all of Santa Rosa, a sister Mary Lou (Tony) Maestas of Cuervo, NM, and a brother Macedon Chavez of Santa Rosa, sister in law Stella Chavez, and brother in law Dan Lucero of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends.Local arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 923 S.
