Julia Salazar

Julia Salazar, age 93, passed away on February 3, 2014 at the Alta Vista Hospital in Las Vegas following an illness. Julia was born on February 10, 1920 in Santa Rosa, NM to the home of Pablo and Albarra Amendares. Julia was a lifelong resident of Santa Rosa. She enjoyed listening to music and taking long walks in the park. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Presiliano Salazar and her daughter's, Connie Lucero and Josie Salazar, Linda Garcia and her son Joe Salazar. Survivors include her children, Lucille Lucero and husband Fritz of Albuqueruqe, Lucinda Salazar of Santa Rosa, Frances Trockwell and husband Roger of Kentucky, Benny Salazar of Tucumcari, Lorenzo Salazar of Tucumcari, Billy Salazar of Redding, CA, Joe Nick Salazar of Albuquerque and Ramon Baca of Colorado. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 8, 2014 at 11:00 AM from the Santa Rosa Church of Christ with Mr. Fritz Lucero officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery.
