Mona Lisa Trujillo

Mona Lisa Trujillo, age 40 passed away peacefully on January 7, 2014 at Christus St. Vincent Hospital in Santa Fe following an illness. Mona Lisa was born on March 10, 1973 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of Joe D. and Carmen (Campos) Trujillo. She was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa graduating from Santa Rosa High School in 1991. She then attended New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas and earned a degree in Social Work. She enjoyed anything to do with the outdoors including hunting and biking. Mona Lisa also loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed her job as a Social Worker and Counselor. Mona Lisa is preceded in death by her father Joe D. Trujillo, her grandfather Pelagio Campos and her Aunt Dolores Campos. Survivors include her son Ruben Trujillo of Santa Rosa, her mother Carmen Trujillo of Santa Rosa, her boyfriend Adelaido Romero of Las Vegas, grandmother Trinnie Campos of Santa Rosa, brothers and sisters Joseph Trujillo and wife Karen of Albuquerque, Dolores Trujillo of Albuquerque, Mario Trujillo and wife Sharla of Santa Rosa, Camilla Hoehne and husband Gerald of Albuquerque. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews Aislyn, Mario Jr., Tristin, Jason, Raegan, Gavin, Savanna, Matthew, Kaitlyn, Matthew H. and Savanna H., her stepson Adelaido Jr, and step grandson Neil as well as numerous Aunts, Uncles, cousins and a host of friends. Rosary services will be held on Thursday, January 9, at 10:00 AM from St. Rose of Lima Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Serving as Pallbearers will be Manuel Dodge, Dennis Gallegos, Vidal Trujillo, Miguel Trujillo, Mark Trujillo, Shawn Lopez. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Anna Romero, Macedonio Chavez, Peter Campos, Adelaido Romero, Jr. and Bernadette Montoya.
