Viola Pacheco

Viola Pacheco, age 74, passed away peacefully on December 3, at her home in Puerto De Luna, Viola was born on February 24, 1939 in Puerto De Luna to the home of Guillermo and Epimenia (Luna) Campos. She was reared in Puerto De Luna and attended schools in Santa Rosa. She married Frank Pacheco on November 28, 1959 in Santa Rosa. Viola worked for the Guadalupe County Sheriff’s Department, served on the Puerto De Luna Water Association, USDA and served as Guadalupe County Treasure until her retirement in December of 2004. Viola was a member of The Door, she enjoyed gardening, farming, doing crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and most of all she loved spending time with her family and her grandkids. She is preceded In death by her parents, her husband Frank, her sisters Emma Chavez, Lillian Romero, her brothers Willie Campos and Reynaldo Campos. She is survived by her children Martin Pacheco of Santa Rosa, Patricia Barela of Santa Rosa, Andrea Pacheco of Santa Fe, Karen Hiller and husband George of Fort Meyers, FL, Janell Kaiser and husband Paul of Fort Worth, TX Gary Pacheco and wife Alison of Sedillo, NM, her brothers and sisters Dora Ulibarri of Belen, NM, Julia Rush of Albuquerque, Esmeralda Cruz of Santa Fe, Alfonso Campos and wife Ellen of Santa Rosa, Henry Campos of Albuquerque and Edwina Romero and husband Epimenio of Santa Rosa. Also surviving are her grandchildren Arianna, Paige, Regan, Sophia, Marcus, Jonathan, Isiah and baby Kaiser as well as numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, at the Pacheco residence in Puerto De Luna from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM. Funeral services will be held of Friday, December 6, at 11:00 from the National Guard Armory in Santa Rosa with Pastor Larry Sandoval officiating. Burial will follow in the family plot at St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be Martin Pacheco, Gary Pacheco, Jonathan Barela, David Romero, Daniel Romero, Marcus Pacheco, Isiah Barela and Lionel Griego All services for Mrs. Pacheco have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
