Felisa R. Garduno, age 92, passed away on November 21, 2013 at Skies Health Care and Rehab Center in Albuquerque. Felisa was born on May 11, 1921 in Amarillo, TX to the home of Juan and Francisca (Lopez) Rodriguez. She worked for the Santa Fe Railroad in Amarillo for 7 years before moving to Vaughn in 1951. She married Graciano Garduno in 1956 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Amarillo. Felisa was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Vaughn, she loved playing solitaire, cooking and watching TV. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Graciano, five sisters, Esperanza, Lorenza, Francisca, Julia and Ramona her two brothers Pasqual and Joe. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Apodaca and husband Ralph of Fort Worth, TX, Mercy Pomikal of Albuquerque, three sons, Sam Cruz of Littleton, CO, Graciano (Beatrice) Garduno, Jr. of Saugus, CA and Steve Garduno of Vaughn. Also surviving is a sister in law Isabel Rodriguez of Corpus Christi, TX; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held on Sunday, November 24, at 6:00 from St. Mary’s Church in Vaughn. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, November 25 at 11:00 AM from St. Mary’s Church with Father Paul Nkumbi officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Vaughn. Pallbearers were be Larry Ballin, Rodney Apodaca, Mark Apodaca, Jonathan Garduno, Vincent Garduno, and Juan Alvidrez. Honorary Pallbearer was Glenn Giordano.
