Services for Bobby Fambro will be held at 10:30 am, Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Chavez Funeral Home Chapel, Ft. Sumner, NM. Interment will follow in the Fambro family plot, Fort Sumner Cemetery. Bobby Don Fambro, 82 was born August 14, 1931 in Frankell, Stephens County, Texas to the home of James Anderson Fambro and the former Lola Evelyn White. On September the 12th in the year of our Lord 2013, Bobby Fambro was enjoying his day as he did every day commuting on his scooter, when his life unexpectedly ended in a motor vehicle accident. Bobby, a retired Civil servant, State Police officer and U.S. Marine, has resided in the Clovis area for over thirty years. Bobby was well known in the community as he traveled the roads on his scooter, helping the local coffee clutches keep up the ongoing daily conversations. Bobby is survived by his three sons, Andy (Charlotte) Fambro of Santa Fe, NM, Bill Fambro of Biloxi Mississippi, and Jim (Marietta) Fambro of Taos, NM, two sisters, Charlene Mitchell of Fort Sumner, NM and Evelyn Tinkle of Clovis, NM, 11 grand-kids, numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Bobby Fambro to the Clovis Fire department. Arrangements are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N.
