Orlando M Montano

Services for Mr. Orlando Montano will be held Saturday, September 7, 2013 from San Jose Catholic Church in Anton Chico, NM. A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am followed by the funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Anton Chico with Father Antonio Mondragon will officiating. Orlando M. Montano, age 78, passed away on August 29, 2013 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Orlando was born on December 10, 1934 in Anton Chico to the home of Alfonso and Estella (Maestas) Montano. He was reared and attended schools in Anton Chico. Orlando retired after 25 years working with the State Highway Department. He loved playing the guitar, he played for many years with the St. Rose of Lima Church Choir, he loved doing rock work and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Angelina Montano, his sons, Manuel Montano, Steve Montano, Joey Montano, Floyd Montano and two infant sons, his brothers and sisters, Alfonso Montano, Mary Garcia, Guadalupe Baca and Thomas Montano. Survivors include his son Charlie Montano and Viola of Santa Rosa, his daughter Elizabeth Montano and Andrew Madrid of Santa Rosa his brother Delfinio Montano and wife Rosa of Anton Chico, sister in law Grace Montano of Pueblo, CO granddaughters Ramona Aguirre and husband Vicente of Santa Rosa, Ashlee Montano and husband Ray of Pueblo, CO, special friend Jeanette Grant of Santa Rosa and 8 grandchildren. Serving as Pallbearers will be, Louie Cordova, Evaristo Maestas, Tomas Maestas, Adino Castillo, Andres Chavez, Danny Montano, Jody Tenorio, Ralph Montano and Juan Maestas. Serving has honorary Pallbearers will be Alfonso Montano, Jr., Pauline Chavez, Antionette Maestas, Estella Montano Cribbs, Tomas Rivera and all his nieces and nephews.
