Regina Sexton Marquez

Former Santa Rosa resident Regina (Sexton) Marquez, 65 peacefully passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2013 surrounded by her family. She was born September 17, 1947 along with a twin sister Christina to the home of Ray Sr. and Catherine Sexton. Regina attended St. Rose of Lima Catholic School and Graduated from Santa Rosa High in 1966. She also attended Eastern New Mexico University in Portales. Regina and her husband Jose L.R. Marquez made their home in Albuquerque for many years. Regina is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Catherine Sexton and a daughter Denise Marie Marquez. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Regina is survived by her husband Jose L.R. Marquez, daughters Yvonne Marquez and Rozanne Dickinson, grandchildren Sheena Marquez, Adrianna Ray, Alyssa Marquez, and Zoriah Joseph Robert Marquez. She is also survived by three sisters, Kathryn Esquibel, Christine Romero, and Roberta Fish; six brother’s Ray Sexton Jr, Harold Sexton, John Sexton, Stan Sexton, Matt Sexton, and Able Sexton. Rosary services will be recited at 11:00 am Monday, July 22, 2013 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial. Services will be held at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church with Father Thomas Kayammakal officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
