Beth Sparks

Funeral Services for Beth Sparks will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Fort Sumner Church of Christ with Mr. Silas Shotwell officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be David Fikany, Bob Addison, Justin Ingram, Tony Gauna, Preston Howard and Bobby Howard. Beth, 51 of Ft. Sumner died Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at her home following an illness. She was born January 21, 1962 in Fort Sumner, the daughter of Billy T. Duke and the former Jo Ann Hutson. Beth grew up in Fort Sumner and attended Fort Sumner Public Schools, graduating in 1980. Beth married Donald Sparks on March 18, 1995 at the Fort Sumner Church of Christ. She is a past member of the Fort Sumner Bowling League. She enjoyed photographing lightning storms, researching German Shepard Dog pedigrees, listening to music and playing the lotto. Beth is preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Annie Duke and the father of her children, Donald Ray Wylie II on March 12, 2013. Beth was a loving wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend. She will be missed by her family, husband Donald Sparks, parents Bill and Jo Ann Duke of Fort Sumner, a son John Wylie of Minneapolis, KS, daughter Wendy Abeyta her husband Josh and his family of Clovis, a granddaughter Autumn Long of Fort Sumner, a brother John Duke and his wife Barbara of Fort Sumner, a sister in law Karla Howard and husband Bobby, nephews Preston Howard, Trevor Howard of Texas, Brandan Duke and a niece Marla Duke of Fort Sumner. Beth is also survived by her mother and father-in-law Nancy and Allen Sparks of Fort Sumner along with a host of other relatives and many friends.
