A Memorial Mass for Robert Arrodondo will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 9, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner with Father Paul Nkumbi officiating. Robert (Madrid) Arrodondo, 73 of Edgewood, NM was born January 28, 1939 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of Frutoso and Mary Madrid. He was reared and attended Fort Sumner Schools. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Air Force July 23, 1956. He was honorably discharge after serving 8 years. He worked in California for 31 years as a bus driver for A/C Transit. He retired in 1997 and moved to Las Vegas, NV where he worked for Citizen Area Transit for 3 years. He moved to Albuquerque, NM for one year, Clovis, NM for 2 years and made his home in Edgewood, NM in 2007. He enjoyed music and worked as a Disc Jockey, he also enjoyed playing pool and watching his favorite team, the Oakland Raiders. Robert is preceded in death by his father Frutoso Madrid in 1962, and his mother Mary Madrid in October 2012. Survivors include his wife Victoria Arrodondo of Edgewood, NM, three sons Bobby Arrodondo of Roseville, CA, Donald Arrodondo and wife Valerie of Healdsburg, CA, Chris Arrodondo of Albuquerque, also surviving is Alysa Garcia of Edgewood who was raised as a daughter, two sisters Angie McHenry of Cherokee, OK and Patsy Gutierrez of Clovis, NM along with four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
