Jose Narciso Madrid, age 69, passed away on November 21, 2012 at the Guadalupe County Hospital following an illness. Jose was born on June 7, 1943 in Puerto De Luna, NM to the home of Narciso and Elena Dodge Madrid. He attended schools in Puerto De Luna until the eighth grade and graduated from Santa Rosa High School in 1961. He was self employed businessman throughout his life. He owned and operated service stations and automobile repair shops, he was also an auto and mobile home salesman until his retirement in 2004. Narciso enjoyed spending time with his family, horse racing and was a Santa Rosa Lion and Denver Bronco fan. Narciso was preceded in death by his wife Anna, his father, Narciso, brothers, Frank and Ernesto Madrid and his nephew Pedro Baca III. He is survived by his mother, Elena Madrid of Puerto De Luna, previous wife and mother of his children Viola of Edgewood, NM, sons, Jeffrey and wife Jodie of Mineralwells, West Virginia,, James and fiance Katie of Las Vegas, NV, Jeremy of Albuquerque, NM, Jonathan and wife Shelly of Odessa, TX, daughters, Jeanette Madrid and boyfriend Thomas of Rio Rancho, NM, Joanna Madrid and boyfriend Gabriel of Albuquerque, Step-son, Benjamin Gerhardt and wife Maria of Santa Rosa, step-daughter, Frances Gerhardt and Juan Diaz, grandchildren, Kevin, Bret, Joseph, Garrett, Dane and Jaidyn, step grandson, Daniel, step granddaughters, Laycie, Lettie and Alexa. Also surviving are his brother and sisters, Patsy Madrid of Santa Rosa, Gloria Madrid of Santa Rosa, Andy Madrid and wife Sylvia of Santa Rosa, Toni Baca and husband Pete of Bernalillo and Lorraine Madrid of Puerto De Luna. Brothers and sisters in law, Joe Robert Urban and wife Darlene, Richard Urban and wife Patsy, Jose Rolando Urban and wife Theresa, Miguel Ruben Urban and wife Patricia, Mary Lou Tapia and husband Ernest and Elvira Salazar along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends, Rosary services will be held on Friday, November 23, at 7:00 PM from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church in Puerto De Luna. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 24, at 10:00 also from Nuestra Senora de Refugio Church with Father Paul Nkumbi officiating. Burial will follow at Nuestra Senora de Refugio Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Jeffery Madrid, James Madrid, Jeremy Madrid, Johnathan Madrid, Thomas Murray, Gabriel Anaya, Ben Gerhardt, Juan Diaz, Frank Madrid and Martin Madrid.
