Mary Madrid

Mary Madrid, 93 of Clovis, NM died Sunday, October 21, 2012 at her home following an illness. She was born April 16, 1919 in Vaughn, NM the daughter of Jose Reyes Madrid and the former Dolores Troncosa. She attended school in Vaughn. Mary married Frutoso Madrid in Fort Sumner, NM. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis. She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and she enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos. She made her home in Cherokee, OK, and Fort Sumner, NM and for the past five years she lived in Clovis. Mary is preceded in death by her husband Frutoso Madrid in 1962, a grandson Lonnie McHenry in 1991, granddaughter Lois McHenry in 2011, and her son in law Jimmy McHenry in 2012. She is also preceded in death by all her siblings, a brother Santos Madrid, seven sisters Emilia Sandoval, Juanita Segura, Domitilia Madrid, Lita Gonzales, Julia Van Kirk, Aurora Gonzales, and Louisa Lopez. She is survived by a son Roberto Arrodondo and wife Victoria of Albuquerque, two daughters Angie McHenry of Cherokee, OK and Patsy Gutierrez and husband Andy of Clovis, 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 22 great-great-grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM. A rosary will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, October 25, 2012 and Mass will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, October 26, 2012 followed by interment at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
