Robert Gabriel “Bobby” Madrid, Age 55 of Tucson AZ, died unexpectedly Saturday, October 6, 2012 at his home. He was born Aug.18 1957 Santa Ana, California. He is the son of Manuel and Jennie (Sanchez) Madrid. He moved to Vaughn, NM with his family in 1969 where he attended school, graduating with the Class of 1976. Bobby enlisted in the U.S. Army and served from 1976-1978. He has lived in various places, and made Tucson his home for the past 15 years. He enjoyed his good friends and having a good time. He was a great dad and loved his kids. Bobby is preceded in death by a sister Margaret (Margo) Valdez. He is survived by his mother, Jennie Ulibarri of Vaughn, NM, two sons Christopher Madrid of Tucson, AZ, Vincent Madrid of Las Cruces, NM, two daughters Kyra Madrid of Tucson, AZ and Adrianna Madrid of Ruidoso, NM, three grandchildren Quiana, Honey, and Hennessey Hidalgo. Also surviving is a brother Joe A. Madrid and wife Cynthia of Ft. Stockton, Texas, three sisters Stella Garcia and husband Raymond of Belen, NM, Sandra Garcia and husband Anthony of Santa Fe, NM, Judy Madrid and Don of Roswell, NM, 13 nieces and nephews along with a host of friends from Tucson and his care givers. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM Friday, October 12, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 13, 2012 from St. Mary's Catholic Church in Vaughn, New Mexico with Father Paul Nkumbi officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Anselmo Valdez, Adan Orpineda, James Madrid, Joe Madrid II, Derek Garcia, and Nathanial Garcia. Honorary pallbearers will include Vincent Perez, Marty O'Shea, Braulio Rodriguez, and Tony Sandoval. Arrangements for Bobby Madrid are under the direction of Chavez Funeral Home, 830 N.
