Monica L. Tapia, age 41, passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2012 at her residence in Santa Rosa. Monica was born on March 16, 1971 in Santa Rosa to the home of Carol and Ernest Tapia. She was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. She loved animals and often took in strays and cared for them. She enjoyed going to the lake during the summer and going to concerts and especially listening to Motley Crue. Monica was dedicated in raising her son Zack and was very proud of him. Monica had recently reunited with her brother Adan. She is preceded in death by her dad Ernest Tapia, her paternal grandparents Jose and Valeria Tapia, maternal grandparents Juan and Edwina Chavez and her cousin Yvonne Gallegos as well as her dog Nikko. Survivors include her children, Tiffany Sena and Zachary Campos and her mother Carol Tapia all of Santa Rosa, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of relatives and friends and her dog Baby. Rosary services will be held on Wednesday, October 10, at 7:00 from St. Rose of Lima Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 11, at 11:00 AM also from St. Rose Church with Father Thomas Kayammakal officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery. Serving as Pallbearers will be; Leroy Chavez, Kathy Koroneos, Alberta Gutierrez, Ted Saiz, Tommy Tapia, Pat Cordova and Adan Via.
