Alex Rael

Alex J. Rael, age 65, passed away on September 21, peacefully at his residence in Vaughn after an extended illness. Alex was born on June 18, 1947 in Vaughn, NM to the home of Augustine and Esmeralda (Rodarte) Rael. He was reared and attended schools in Vaughn. Alex was a longtime Diesel Mechanic in Vaughn. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and working on cars. He is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and a past member of the Knights of Columbus. Alex married Ruth Hudson on June 16, 1990 in Vaughn. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Kelly Rael, Ray Rael, Ernesto Rael, Joe (Binky) Rael, Joseph Rael, twin brothers Alfred and Albert Rael and his sister, Julia Rael. Survivors include his wife Ruth Rael of the family home in Vaughn, his children, Steven Rael, Jason Rael and Marcelino Rael and wife Katie all of Vaughn, his brothers and sisters, Helen Martinez and husband Rudy of Vaughn, Yvonne Zamora and husband Pete of Vaughn, Johnny Rael and wife Virginia of Edgewood, Rick Rael and wife Rita of Albuquerque, Archie Rael and wife Aletha of Vaughn, Henrietta Garcia and husband Ernie of Encino and Patrick Rael and wife Audrey of Albuqueruqe along with numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place and rosary services will be held on Wednesday, September 26, at 10:00 AM from St. Mary’s Church in Vaughn. Memorial Mass will follow at 10:30.
