Benerita "Quata" Roybal

Benerita “Quata” Roybal, 69 died Wednesday, September 5, 2012 in Clovis, NM following an illness. She was born February 23, 1943 in Fort Sumner, NM to the home of Raymundo T. and Inez (Lopez) Sena. She was reared and attended schools in Fort Sumner. She married Silviano Roybal in Fort Sumner, NM. They made their home in Clovis in 1971. Quata was a longtime faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis and a member of the D.A.V. Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading and creating crafts. She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers Eugene Sena and Jose Alejandro Sena, two sisters Stephanita Sena and Mela Nieto. Quata was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her husband Silviano Roybal of the home in Clovis; a daughter Carol Roybal of Roswell; two sons Joseph Roybal and wife Karen of McKinney, TX and Toby Roybal and wife Nicole of Clovis; also surviving are five sisters, Victoriana Salguero and husband Pino, Odelia Marrujo and husband Pablo, Celina Lopez, Viola Gutierrez, Lydia Maldonado and husband Porifilio, and three brothers Loy Sena and wife Patty, Bebe Sena and wife Gloria, and Daniel Sena and wife Emma. Other survivors include eight grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. A rosary service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, September 7, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM with Deacon Daniel Chavez leading the prayers. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 from St. Anthony’s with Father Paul Nkumbi and Deacon Daniel Chavez officiating. Burial of cremains will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Honorary bearers will include Andrew and Ashley Colella, Isaac, Fabian, and Clare Gamble, Katelyn, Makenzie, and Isabel Roybal. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Dr Mac and the staff at Plains Regional Medical Cancer Center for the care they provided to Benerita.
