Manuel Ambrossio Castilllo, age 67, passed away unexpectedly at his home on August 8, 2012. Manuel was born on January 1, 1945 in Milagro, NM to the home of Prudencio and Irene (Garduno) Castillo. He was reared and attended schools in Santa Rosa. Manuel worked as a gas station attendant for several gas stations before becoming disabled due to a severe motorcycle accident. Manuel loved hunting and trapping rattlesnakes, he loved to work on cars and motorcycles. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Joe Gene Castillo, sisters, Angie Jaramillo and Isabelita Castillo and his aunt Gregorita Garduno. Survivors include his daughters Sharon and Beverly Romero of Albuquerque, his sisters and brother, Bernie Stouffer and husband James of Rio Rancho, Sylvia Madril and husband Modesto of Albuquerque, Bella Torres of Las Vegas, NM, Seferina Sisneros and husband Silvano of Santa Rosa, Helen Madrid and partner Frank Delgado of Albuqueruqe, Ima Gene Chavez and husband Joe of Albuquerque and Vincent Castillo and wife Christine of Oak Hills, CA. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Rosary services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, August 13, 2012 from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Mass will follow the rosary. All services for Mr. Castillo have been entrusted to the Chavez Funeral Home of Santa Rosa.
