Frank Pat Aragon

Frank Pat Aragon, 76 of Roswell, NM died Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at ENM Medical Center following an illness. Pat was born May 31, 1936 in Fort Sumner to the home of Miguel and Cleofas (Trujillo) Aragon, he attended Fort Sumner schools. Pat married Lucy M. Marsh on December 7, 1957 in Fort Sumner. He worked for several years at the Rio Pecos Truck Stop in Fort Sumner. Pat and Lucy made their home in Roswell, NM in 1971. Pat worked for many years as a security officer at Malco and later at Glover. He suffered from arthritis for many years and retired due to this illness in 1998. Pat was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Roswell. He and his friends gathered for many years for morning coffee at La Posta. He spent many hours working crossword puzzles and being in the company of his cats and dog. Pat is preceded in death by his parents, a son Tommy C. Aragon in 1979, an Aunt Mary Trujillo, and nephew Ted Sena Jr. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed by his wife Lucy Aragon of the family home in Roswell, two sons Mark Aragon and Lucy Jaramillo of Roswell, Pat Lane Aragon of Roswell, a sister Rosa Sena and husband Ted of Clovis; a sister in law Lee Harrell of Roswell, an Aunt Toni Tomasek and husband Jim of Milwaukee, WI, four grandchildren Christian Aragon, Champagne Aragon both of Roswell, Maria Baca of Albuquerque and Thomas Aragon of Roswell. Also surviving are three nieces Lucille and husband Guy Page of Las Vegas, NV; Patty Trujillo and husband Michael of Clovis; Stephanie Estrada and husband Joe of Roswell; two nephews Michael Sena and wife Tina of Clovis and David Sena of Clovis along with nine great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Visitation hours will be Friday from 1PM to 6PM at Chavez Funeral Home in Fort Sumner. Rosary services will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Fort Sumner, NM. Mass will be celebrated from the church at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 28, 2012 with Father Paul Nkumbi officiating. Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Jake Lucero, Israel Herrera, Demetrio Gonzales, Joe Estrada, Mike Trujillo, Jason Sandoval, and Michael Sena. Honorary bearers will include Vidal Gauna and Fred Gauna.
